Genesis 2:1-3 KJV
[1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
So as we can see from previous writings, Our Heavenly Father created the things in the earth and around the earth, the heavens, in six days. On this blessed day God rested from all that he made. Can we take anything from these verses? Some religions hold to Saturday being this day while others hold to Sunday being this day. Does it matter? Some Seventh Day Adventist will not publicly work from 7:00pm on Friday until 7:00pm on Saturday. Others hold their no work time from sun up to sun down on Saturday. Their church service is also held on this day. Sunday services for several other religions is their way of honoring God’s day of rest. No thought of work or even mowing the lawn crossed their minds. Nowadays however, many go out to eat, shop, and whatever else crosses their minds because this is “our only day” to get stuff done. In closing, whatever day you choose as your “seventh day” make your main thoughts, thoughts about God and all the blessings he has bestowed upon you.
Romans 8:28 KJV
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
