It is not my intent to offend or discourage. However, I feel led to share what has been weighing heavy on my heart the past few days. The Bible states in

John 8:12 KJV

[12] Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

There is currently a movement in this modern world with modern “churches” that are so dark that even with extensive lighting it still feels dull and drab inside. I know that the building that houses the church is not what makes the church but,

Psalm 143:3 KJV

[3] For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

Proverbs 2:13 KJV

[13] Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

The devil himself is no longer walking to and fro seeking whom he may devour. He has made his way into our modern “churches” by way of darkness. He has fed our children lies and insults to the real churches, that dark walls and low lighting are the “new thing”. That we need more people in here praising “God”. Who cares if you know your neighbor, when the next service comes around you won’t be beside them anyway. They may not even be there, but you won’t know it. You’ll be so into the “service” that nothing else matters. You won’t need a hymn book because those song are so “old fashioned” that they don’t belong in our services, we want that upbeat dance praise and worship music. Never mind the fact that it is so dark in here we can’t see anything but what the spotlight shines on, we’re having a great time here “Praising the Lord”.

Ephesians 5:8 KJV

[8] For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

I know this has gone away from the normal route I have been taking but I feel this is something that the Lord was leading me to say. Take care and may God bless the children of light.
